Nothing brings me as much joy as talking about my conversion, my faith journey and Anthony. The more I do it, the more I am convinced that this is what I was made to do. I have had a very interesting life that has given me tons of stories to tell and my education in Philosophy at Holy Apostles College & Seminary has helped me understand the truths of the Catholic faith in a way that helps me to share all the things I have learned since I began investigating the Catholic faith.
Because of who I am and my own personal flaws I have made the decision, based on discernment and advice from holy people I trust, to not charge speaking fees for any talks that I give. I ask for travel expenses and donations. It is how I ensure that I am trusting God and not myself in this journey. The minute that I start to take control of things, they turn out bad. I am called to put a radical trust in God and this is one way that I can do that. This means that I am a bargain for small parishes and ministries!
If you are looking for a speaker to come to your parish, conference or youth group please send me an email at LeticiaOAdams at gmail dot com. I would be happy to make it work! Here are a few links of some podcasts I have done along with two videos of my testimony. The first one being when I first started giving my testimony in public and the other is of the first time I gave my testimony after Anthony’s suicide.
Topics that I speak on are:
- What God has done for me.
- How I came to understand the Church’s teachings.
- Grief, loss and being a survivor of suicide loss.
- How my faith helped me cope with the suicide of my oldest son.
- My talk for teens about how it is good they exist.
- Healing from my past with the help of healing ministry and therapy
I am a regular contributor on the Jennifer Fulwiler show on SiriusXM the Catholic Channel. I have a chapter in Patrick Madrid’s latest book “Surprised by Life” and also a chapter in Tommy Tighe’s “The Catholic Hipster”.

I recently went to Southern Illinois to speak to two parishes in Mt. Carmel IL and this is what they had to say about me and my visit there:

When Leticia Adams comes to your parish…
Editor’s note: This is another great contribution from the one and only Holly Vaughan. You can follow her on Twitter here!
You guys. Leticia Adams came to our parish this last weekend and gave her testimony. (Read some of Leticia’s Patheos blog articles here)
And it. Was. Amazing.
And in the midst of all of this, Leticia was giving talks and changing lives. She spoke to classes at our parochial school, she spoke to our youth, and she spoke at both of our parishes. I saw people react in such beautiful ways – amazement, sympathy, empathy, concern – but most of all, love. They were mesmerized by her story, and engaged by her presence. I learned about pain that people at my parish have gone through, that they have endured silently. I saw these same people listen to Leticia and feel solidarity – that someone understood. I saw these people open up after her talk and share their own pain and struggles. I saw SO many people inspired by her courage, and most of all her faith. It was BEAUTIFUL.
